Water supply disruption in Seremban and Jempol

Several areas in Seremban will experience a 24-hour disruption in water supply from 10am on March 8 due to relocation of mains between the Jalan Sungai Ujong and Jalan Labu intersections and at the Arab-Malaysian industrial area in Nilai.

Syarikat Air Negeri Sembilan Sdn Bhd (Sains) public relations chief Norzita Ismail said the pipe relocation was part of Sains’ ongoing effort to improve the quality of water supply for consumers.

Areas in Seremban to be affected include Seremban 2, S2 Heights, Taman Mantau Indah, Oakland, Rasah Kemayan, the Arab-Malaysian industrial area, Taman Desa Saga and Taman Desa Ria, she said.

She also said that several areas in the Jempol district would also experience a 24-hour disruption in water supply from 8am on March 8 due to cleaning work at the Taisho balancing pond in Bahau.

Areas in Jempol to be affected include Bahau, Mahsan, Batu Kikir, the whole of Lui (Lui Barat, Timur, Selatan, Muda & Sg Lui), Jalan Bahau–Batu Kikir, Jalan Bahau-Kuala Jempol, Serting Tengah, Serting Hulu, Felda Raja Alias, Feldajaya, Bandar Seri Jempol, a part of Rompin, Ladang Geddes, Kampung Serampang Indah, Kampung Sampo, Ayer Hitam Police Training Centre (Pulapah), Jelai town and Bandar IOI Bahau, she added.

Norzita said water supply would resume in stages, with places on high ground to get supply later.
