Former Kedah menteri besar Mukhriz Mahathir announced today that he would not be following in his father's footsteps in quitting Umno.

Speaking to Malaysiakini in Kuala Lumpur today, Mukhriz said his father, former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad, understood his decision.
