Pakatan Harapan will be holding an anti-Goods and Services Tax (GST) rally on April 2, a day after the one year anniversary of the GST implementation.

This was announced by Pakatan Harapan's chief secretary Saifuddin Abdullah in a press conference at the PKR headquarters in Kuala Lumpur today.

"April 1 is near and that is the one year anniversary of the implementation of GST, so Pakatan Harapan will organise an anti-GST gathering on April 2 at a place in Kuala Lumpur that will be announced later.

"This shows our continuous commitment to our stance against GST," he said.

Saifuddin also announced that the Pakatan Harapan presidential council will have a meeting next Monday where they will then reveal their next course of action on several issues.

These will be related to their calls for Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak to resign, as well as pushing the issues of 1MDB, the RM2.6 billion found in Najib's bank accounts and various other scandals.

"We can't just always be talking about these issues only. So what's next? The what's next will be announced on Monday (after the meeting)," Saifuddin explained.

Najib and 1MDB has been plagued with financial scandals since last year, and they have both consistently denied any wrongdoing.
