About 100 villagers gathered at Kampung Permatang Tok Subuh today to defend the demolition of their homes following a bailiff's notice of vacant possession which expired today.

Accompanying the villagers were political parties and NGO activists, with some coming from Kuala Lumpur, to camp inside the village, as a show of solidarity.
