The Pekan Umno division has called on the police to take action against a Facebook account holder in the name of 'Suppiah Ramakrishnan' for insulting Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak and wife, Rosmah Mansor.

Its social media bureau chairperson Mohd Zaidin Mohamad said the posting of a picture of Najib and Rosmah during umrah (minor haj) mocked the couple and Islam with its caption.

He was speaking to Bernama after lodging a report at the Jaya Gading police station in Pekan today.

In Kota Kinabalu, a coalition of pro-Barisan non-governmental organisations lodged a similar police report against the posting.
