It is more important for the Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) to concentrate on its own struggles while observing developments in other political parties, said party president Joseph Pairin Kitingan.

He said the party treated what was happening in other parties and their circumstances as a lesson for PBS and its members to learn.

Pairin, who is also deputy chief minister-cum-infrastructure development minister, said his party would continue its struggles for the benefit of future generations by working with the community to help champion the people’s rights.

“I urge greater cooperation and commitment from PBS members towards the party’s future aspirations for the country and especially Sabah,” he told reporters at a 10-pin bowling competition held in conjunction with PBS’ 31st anniversary in Kota Kinabalu tonight.

He said this in reference to former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s exit from Umno.
