The rebranding of the National Civics Bureau (BTN) will see people from all walks of life become agents of change to create the concept of a nation state.

Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Azalina Othman Said said the target groups also comprised Village Security and Development Committees, neighbourhood watch groups, teachers and local authorities.

"This is because these groups are also the agents of change in creating the concept of nation state," she said after appearing as a guest in Bernama Radio 24 'Dalam Radar' programme yesterday.

In January, Azalina was reported as saying the BTN needed to undergo a rebranding process to ensure its content would remain relevant to the target groups, especially the younger generation.

Azalina said BTN's approach was not only to focus on talks and seminars but would also use more relaxed and creative methods in line with current development.

"This includes the use of social media, such as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter to promote unity and love for the country," she added.
