Terengganu Menteri Besar Ahmad Razif Abdul Rahman said he believed the action of Kijal state assemblyperson Ahmad Said, who tabled a motion for a vote of no-confidence against him, was done at the prompting of certain quarters.

"I was alerted to be cautious as there will be outside movements wanting to topple me.

"I received the information from Kuala Lumpur," said Ahmad Razif when speaking at a special meeting of BN, Umno Veterans Club and the Terengganu Malaysian Council of Former Elected Representatives in Kuala Terengganu, last night.

The Terengganu state assembly sitting on Tuesday which became chaotic that same day following the proposal of a vote of no-confidence, was, however, smooth yesterday.

In fact, the Kijal assemblyperson was a no-show at the assembly's sitting yesterday.

Ahmad Razif - in his speech - said his agenda now was to ensure Terengganu BN remained strong, and create as much success as possible so that BN will win big in the 14th general election.
