Police officers and officers from Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL), in plain clothes, were allegedly involved in a commotion during a gathering around a fountain on the crossroads of Jalan Raja Laut and Jalan Tun Perak on March 27 last year, the Magistrate's Court heard today.
Police officer Mohd Khairil Anwar Mansor told deputy public prosecutor Mohd Fadli Mohd Zamri that he was attached to the photography unit at Bukit Aman police headquarters and assigned to take photographs during the gathering for about five hours from 8.30pm on March 26 to 1.30am the next day.
"There were around 50 to 100 people who were gathered there... there was a crowd and people giving speeches," he said.
