Asli COO Ng wins 2016 WEF Young Global Leader Award

Asian Strategy & Leadership Institute (Asli) chief operating officer Ng Yeen Seen has won the 2016 World Economic Forum (WEF) Young Global Leaders Award.

Centre for Public Policy Studies chairperson Ramon Navaratnam said he was thrilled that Ng, who is also senior director for the centre, was given the prestigious award by the WEF.

“I hope that her international recognition will inspire many more young Malaysians to lead us to a better Malaysia,” he said in a statement today.

Meanwhile, Asli chief executive officer Michael Yeoh said the institute was proud that the WEF recognised Ng for her contributions.

“Ng is now alongside former awardees such as King Abdullah of Jordan, Jack Ma of Alibaba, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, Sheryl Sandberg and our Youth and Sports Minister, Khairy Jamaluddin.

“This is a testimony to her leadership contribution and the WEF recognised her potential,” Yeoh said.

The WEF Young Global Leaders Award comprises of 122 selected entrepreneurial leaders under the age of 40.

Thousands of candidates from around the world underwent a nomination process and assessed according to rigorous selection criteria.
