A military personnel was found hanging from a tree near the Besut District Hospital staff quarters in Besut today.

Besut OCPD Superintendent Khaled Che Lah said the body was found by the hospital staff who later contacted the police at 8.40am.

Police also found a note addressed to the soldier's family.

"A physical examination on the victim did not find any sign of injury," he said.

It is learnt that the deceased, who was accompanying his father who was being treated at the hospital, was undergoing skills training in preparation for his retirement.
