Penang Umno Youth today lodged a police report regarding the contents of the statutory declaration by Phang Li Koon, which was alleged to have inaccurate information.

State Umno Youth assistant secretary Ifan Zaini Md Tahar said among the information contained in the statutory declaration by Phang was, “I have no business dealings with the state government.”

“I suspect what had been declared by her was inaccurate and urge the police to investigate the matter,” he told reporters after lodging a report at the Jalan Patani Police Station in George Town today.

Phang, who was the owner of the bungalow at Jalan Pinhorn in George Town which was sold to Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng for RM2.8 million, made the statutory declaration yesterday after the sale of the bungalow received wide media coverage as it was said to be sold at a value that was below the market price.

The statutory declaration was read out by state exco member Phee Boon Poh, who was a distant relative of Phang and was the adviser to the Phang Clan, yesterday.

In the declaration, Phang also stated that she did not receive any benefit from the state government for selling the bungalow at Jalan Pinhorn to Lim Guan Eng at RM2.8 million.
