Don't entertain any more wild accusations over 1MDB, Najib urged

Umno Veterans Malaysia has urged Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak not to entertain any accusations relating him to 1MDB.

Its secretary, Mustapha Yaakub, said the report tabled by the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) in Parliament yesterday clearly indicated that the prime minister was not involved in the missing RM42 billion or accusations that he had used the money for his personal use.

Mustapha said they were in fact waiting for the confirmation of the report by PAC chief Hassan Arifin.

"If anyone continued to accuse Najib after the PAC report, we want the prime minister to take legal action against them, whether it involves the 1MDB issue or the RM2.6 billion that was banked into his personal accounts," he said in a statement yesterday.
