Najib, for every hole plugged, 10 more will open up

YOURSAY | ‘The emperor with no clothes will have to face the naked truth.’

Washington Post thinks Najib a friend Obama should lose

CQ Muar: PM Najib Abdul Razak, why have you stopped prancing on international stages addressing and impressing world leaders about the "might of Malaysia" under your impeccable leadership?

Before this, many were in awe and mesmerised by your impressive oratory talent.

Come on, since you declared you've nothing to hide and are free of wrongdoing, we look forward to your ‘famous’ international performance to help propel our beautiful country forward.

SteveOh: You have to be insane to try to cover up something as big as the 1MDB scandal. So far for every hole plugged, 10 more open up.

It is one big sinkhole that will eventually swallow up the wrongdoers. There is no running away. There is nowhere to hide.

The money trail is extensive and transcends national borders. It is corruption , say the Swiss authorities. The foreign media feeding frenzy has begun.

You may muzzle the local media but not the foreign media who are not beholden to anyone, least of all a country's allegedly corrupt leader.

Even Houdini cannot pull off an escape such as this and it will soon be checkmate. God is not mocked. A man reaps what he sows. The emperor with no clothes will have to face the naked truth.

Negarawan: The general sense of the international community is that the Najib administration has gone too far in shielding the perpetrators behind the 1MDB scandal.

Never in the history of Malaysia has there been an issue that has plunged the status and image of the country into a rogue state.

The more Umno tries to deflect the issue and exonerate the main perpetrators, the more determined the international investigation teams will be to bring them to justice.

Clongviews: So far none of the foreign media and journalists had shaken Najib so long as he gets the support of the Umno warlords.

Can or will the foreign authorities and institutions take legal proceedings against Najib if they have evidence of his alleged wrongdoing?

It’s a long process and by the time of the 14th general election, people will easily forget if goodies are offered.

Jaycee: Thank you, Washington Post for speaking on behalf of the Malaysian public. We need as much help as we can from the foreign press.

We are resigned to the fact that, as citizens, there is nothing we can do to bring the perpetrators to justice. As you are aware, the laws here appear to protect the guilty.

Maplesyrup: It is our hope that investigations in other countries will be unhindered and unbiased, and not allow the fact that amongst the suspected guilty parties is a reigning top leader of a country.

They owe it to the helpless citizens who have no voice and no strength even if we are the ones who suffer the most from this debacle.

Meow: Najib's approval for a US military base in Malaysia will change the whole situation, as what happen in The Philippines during the Marcos regime.

US is not bothered about the Malaysian people and they are more concern about what they will gain out of Najib's scandals.

Chipmunk: As long as he is at the helm of the PM's post, nothing will happen unless the rakyat revolt against him come GE14.

The keys to the future of all Malaysians are in the hands of the rakyat and if they do just the right thing by voting him out, then Malaysia and Malaysians will have a brighter future.

Hajile Leumas: The irrefutable law of sowing and reaping as taught in the good books will certainly come to pass on individuals who are guilty and they will have to pay for their crime behind bars.

It is only a matter of time. Let's be patient.

RM2.6 Billion Turkey Haram: No dignity, no pride, no honesty and no integrity. The world over is condemning him as seen by the number of media reports furnished by former PM Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

Never before has a PM in the country being badmouthed beyond recognition, and yet Umno is still blind to the truth.

Sabahan: “It’s past time for the administration to distance itself from a ruler who appears headed for well-deserved disgrace,” said Washington Post .

Any self-respecting PM would sue the pants off Washington Post . But only if it not true.

Ex-PJ: Remember it was the Washington Post (along with reporters Bob Woodword and Carl Bernstein) who brought down US President Richard Nixon.

Tmf: Let us see if our Najib can ‘najib’ the Americans this time.
