Out of practice on stage, Guns n’ Roses' Axl Rose breaks foot
A week after a historic reunion concert at a Los Angeles nightclub, Guns n’ Roses frontman Axl Rose said yesterday he has broken his foot.
The rocker posted a video on Twitter in which a doctor in Santa Monica, California, explained he had broken his fifth metatarsal bone. The video included x-ray images showing the bone in question.
“This is what can happen when you do something you haven’t done in nearly over 23 years,” Rose wrote on Twitter.
Dr Rachel Triche said in the video that Rose was now in a cast. Two Guns n’ Roses reunion concerts scheduled for this weekend in Las Vegas will reportedly go on, and Triche said the set design would be modified to accommodate Rose’s injury.
TMZ reported Rose injured himself when he slipped on stage during Guns n’ Roses’ surprise reunion concert April 1, their first appearance in more than two decades. The band has announced a 21-city US tour for this summer.
