Nearly 40,000 people attended Zakir Naik's final lecture in Terengganu which was held at Padang Astaka yesterday night.

It was the fourth lecture by the Islamic preacher in Terengganu since arriving in the country on April 9.

Despite the drizzle, people began arriving as early as 7.30pm to hear Naik's lecture on 'Muslim's Choice, Da'wah or Destruction'.

Menteri Besar Ahmad Razif Abdul Rahman was also among the crowd, consisting of people from various races and religions.

A survey by Bernama found the audience included those from Pahang and Kelantan, some of whom admitted not being fluent in English, but came all the way to find out and "witness the greatness of Zakir Naik".

Meanwhile, Naik, in his lecture, reminded Muslims to practice the way of life as taught in the Quran.
