Perak Menteri Besar Zambry Abd Kadir ( pix above, left ) has criticised DAP's Taiping MP Nga Kor Ming for telling lies and distorting facts on several matters including affordable housing.

He said the state government had always been concerned over the plight of the less fortunate and this was proven through the construction of 25,679 housing units since 2013 until last January.

"He (Nga) talks as if the government is not doing anything and just building 800 houses. This is very misleading. He is also making comparison with Penang," he told reporters in Ipoh.

On the Menteri Besar Incorporated (MB Inc), Zambry said its corporate management had been transparent, particularly in asset and mineral development which had helped boost domestic economy.

"Through MB Inc, royalty performance up to February 2016 increased by 106 percent to RM13.9 million, compared with RM6.7 million previously," he said.

On the MB Inc report not being presented in the state legislative assembly, Zambry said: "As with other state governments, matters on MB Inc are never presented in the state assembly.

"But this does not mean that there is no financial report, it is presented in the board meeting," he said.

Zambry also firmly denied there was yearly decrease in allocation for Perak under the 11th Malaysia Plan (RMK-11) as claimed by Nga, who is also Kepayang assemblyperson.

Zambry said they were false accusations as the federal government approved RM9.6 billion for Perak in RMK-11, which was a 78 percent increase compared with the RM5.37 billion for RMK-10.

"We need to correct the facts, if not people will believe what he says. He had repeatedly raised these matters in the assembly.

"We have replied and given him the information but these too will be manipulated as this is a political game, especially for those who have deep hatred for MB Inc," he said.
