Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi visited Kelantan Menteri Besar Ahmad Yakob at the Universiti Sains Malaysia Hospital (HUSM) Kubang Kerian in Kota Baru today.

Zahid, who arrived at the hospital at 5.50pm, spent about 10 minutes to chat with Ahmad, who is recovering after a minor operation due to a haemorrhage on the left side of his head.

"I pray for his swift recovery so that he can return to work as normal," he told reporters after visiting Ahmad in Ward 2 Delima.

Also present were Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Minister Hamzah Zainuddin, Pasir Mas Umno division chief Hanafi Mamat, Kubang Kerian Umno chief Mohamad Abdul Ghani and Kelantan Federal Development Department director Makhtar Mustapha.

Zahid said the specialist treating the Kelantan menteri besar also told him Ahmad's health was improving.

Ahmad was admitted to HUSM on Wednesday after suffering headaches since a week ago and was informed by the hospital he had blood clots in his head.
