Put your differences aside, minister tells BN supporters

S’WAK POLLS Barisan Nasional supporters in Sarawak must put their differences aside to offer their undivided support to all candidates to ensure the party win the election with a big majority in the May 7 state election.

Communications and Multimedia Minister Mohd Salleh Said Keruak urged the people to translate their support through votes for BN candidates on polling day.

"Give your support, no matter who the candidates are, as long as they are under the BN banner. Give them your full support," Salleh said at a dinner with village heads and community leaders in the Miri parliamentary constituency last night.

He said the opposition was not an alternative party of choice in Sarawak because the opposition cannot administer the state.

"Just look at the current election, the opposition candidates are battling against each other for seats in six constituencies," Salleh said, adding that the target of the opposition parties is only to win seats for their own benefit.

He said the opposition was not interested in serving the people but merely fighting against each other to become state assembly representatives.

The BN has a strong foundation and structure plus a proven track record to carry out development agendas for the people of Sarawak.

Therefore, he called on the BN supporters in Miri to continue their campaigns until the last minute to garner as much support as possible and boost the party's chances of winning.

"We must ensure BN can win all three state seats in Miri, namely Pujut, Piasau and Senadin, with bigger majorities," Salleh added.

He said Sarawak Chief Minister Adenan Satem has brought about major changes and transformation in the administration and policies of the state, and needs a bigger mandate from the people to continue the development agendas.
