Minister: Reject 'now you see, now you don't' opposition

S'WAK POLLS Voters in Sarawak must reject the opposition who would only surface during the state election.

Santubong MP Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar said the opposition would disappear once the election is over.

The minister of natural resources and environment urged voters to choose BN, which is always with the people.

"The opposition here does not have many members and maybe not even a branch, only a committee. When the election fever subsides, it will go back, the people won't see it anymore.

"When there is indication of a state election or general election, the opposition will surface. Most who come are outsiders - not locals - and they come to incite and condemn. We (BN) are not like that," he told Bernama.

Earlier, he attended a Randau Segulai Sejalai Sepenemu (programme with the people) here, about 100km from Kuching, today.

Wan Junaidi, who is also election machinery operations director for Tanjong Datu, the constituency where Chief Minister Adenan Satem is contesting, described the opposition as a mosquito party.

"They (opposition parties) would make noise to seek sympathy and this should not be entertained by the people.

"Don't be easily influenced by the opposition's last-minute campaign. Sometimes, they would share disparaging information in the social media. Don't let them change your mind," he said, adding the reminder had been given repeatedly.
