Najib, Rosmah fail to get summary judgment against DAP's Nga

Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak and his wife Rosmah Mansor may need to testify, after failing to obtain a summary judgment in the ongoing defamation case against DAP's Taiping MP Nga Kor Ming.

This is related to Nga's Facebook posting alleging Rosmah had participated in a cabinet meeting, which the couple denies.

The couple wanted a summary judgment because the MP does not deny he made the posting, but the judge said the matter should go to trial.

Rafizi claims he has letter to prove PM meddled in GLC

PKR secretary-general Rafizi Ramli says he has a letter to show PM Najib meddled in the affairs of a government-linked company.

The letter was allegedly written by an officer in the Prime Minister's Office to a GLC chief, instructing the latter to ignore a bankruptcy notice of an Umno man, and to settle the man's bank loans.

Malaysiakini has contacted the officer for a response.

Umno can survive 70 more years, says Najib

Wearing his Umno presidential hat, Najib is grateful Umno is among the parties with the longest record of staying in power in the world.

He attributes this to Umno's "moderate" politics and believes Umno can go on for another 70 years.

The party turns 70 on May 14.
