As far as the DC Comics Superman character is concerned, the man of steel has only one weakness, the ore from of a radioactive element from his home planet of Krypton.

For the DAP version, its 'superman' claimed that vulgar and crude language during public speeches are his.

However, Hew Kuan Yau agreed to cease using such language after coming under fire from political rivals and his top boss as well.

"All my political speeches in the future will be clean," he said in a Facebook posting, vowing to reinvent himself and emerge stronger.

"I will use humour, facts, examples, body language and passion," he added.

Hew also liked BN to an "evil spell" that has been cast on the people, and resolved to do his best to break this.

Yesterday, DAP veteran Lim Kit Siang reprimanded him for using rude language during a ceramah in the run-up to the Sarawak state polls last week.

Hew, who always appears in public with a superman t-shirt, courted flak while campaigning for DAP candidate Abdul Aziz Isa, who contested the Batu Kintang seat.

The DAP man, who was barred from entering the state, had his Mandarin-language speech telecast via Skype, and exhorted voters to elect the DAP candidate.

"Let us send Aziz to state assembly to screw his own Malays, who are big politicians who are corrupt, screw pok kai (scum) Parti Bersatu Bumipuera. This is the most interesting scene. Those who agree, please clap," he had said.

Critics accused him of making racist remarks, but Hew claimed that if he was anti-Malay, he would not be asking voters to back a Malay candidate over Chinese contenders for the seat.

Lim also denied that the remarks of his former aide were racist, and remained tightlipped on whether action would be taken against Hew.
