Three years on, the Registrar of Societies (ROS) is still investigating the validity of DAP's central executive committee (CEC).

Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi blamed it on the contradictory contents and validity of the documents scrutinised by the ROS.

"The ROS is still investigating the matter as it needs to study in detail the documents submitted by the DAP," Zahid said in parliamentary written reply.

"This is caused by the contradiction from the aspect of content and the validity of the documents."

Zahid was responding to Noh Omar (BN-Tanjong Karang) who wanted to know the status of ROS investigation into the opposition party's CEC and the position of its secretary-general Lim Guan Eng.

The DAP re-elected its new CEC on Sept 29, 2013, following a blunder in December 2012.

However, ROS has refused to ratify the new leadership line-up.
