PAS Youth chief Nik Abduh Nik Abdul Aziz said it is still not too late for splinter Parti Amanah Negara to return to PAS’ fold.

“After a year of quarrel, there is still time for them to return to PAS.

“Many people have returned to PAS throughout its history.

“God willing, we hope our friends will return to enjoy what we are enjoying,” he said in his winding-up speech at the wing’s muktamar in Kota Baru today.

Earlier today, Nik Abduh accused DAP of making Amanah leaders “drunk” that led to the formation of the splinter party.

Nik Abduh said the muktamar this time was more for giving thanks in the absence of hot issues.

“The heart’s gratefulness is manifested with the absence of heated words,” he said.

PAS’ muktamar had in previous years seen heated debate as the party’s progressives and conservatives clashed.

However, with the exodus of the progressives to form Amanah, the party is largely left with conservatives who have generally been on the same page.

Nik Abduh also commented on PAS and BN’s improving relations, attributing it to the ruling coalition.

“BN changed its strategy to a peaceful one,” he said.
