Syed Alman Syed Alwi, the son-in-law of Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, passed away at age 44.

He was married to Nurulhidayah Ahmad Zahid.

Nurulhidayah, in an Instagram message, described Syed Alman as a “great papa and responsible husband”.

“I lost someone that I can argue with,” she said.

According to the New Straits Times, he passed away after undergoing dental surgery.

It said Syed Alman lost consciousness during the surgery at a clinic in Bangsar and was later brought to University Malaya Medical Centre in Kuala Lumpur.

The report said Ahmad Zahid, who is on a working visit in Tokyo, Japan, is on the way back to the country.
