MUKTAMAR PAS will bring motions urging that ties with PKR be reviewed to the syura council for study and evaluation, said party information chief Nasruddin Hassan.
Speaking at the party’s 62nd muktamar in Kota Baru yesterday, he said a number of such motions have been received.
“We received such motions from PAS in Pontian, Balik Pulau, Kuala Kedah and the Muslimat wing.
“The motions ask for political cooperation (tahaluf siyasi ) between PAS and PKR be reassessed in light of several matters raised, and if there is any benefit to Islam that PAS champions or otherwise,” he said while delivering his briefing on the motions received.
Nasruddin, who chairs the motions committee for the muktamar, said the motions asked that cooperation with PKR can be allowed to continue if there is any benefit to PAS.
Where there is not, the syura council can make whatever decision it sees fit.
He said the muktamar has received a total of 20 motions from various quarters.
Others, he said, were rejected out of technicalities such as repeats, format issues and those that were not relevant.
“Apart from this there were also motions that came in the form of suggestions, and these we will study without debate,” he said.
