Wan Azizah claims enemies trying desperately to split PKR leadership

Kim Quek: It is high time PKR wakes up from its delusion that PAS is still part of the opposition. It is not. It is now a hybrid with one leg in Umno.

It is more an enemy to Pakatan Harapan than it is an enemy to Umno. PKR would be ignoring this political reality at its own peril.

PKR must gear up in full force to support Amanah’s candidates and show all Malaysians that Pakatan is a force to be reckoned with. Failing to do that will have a far reaching electoral backlash against the party.

PKR need not follow the popular view that a three-party contest (not a three-cornered fight in the traditional sense) in the coming by-elections will mean a sure loss for Pakatan.

If it cares to analyse into the factors relevant to the elections at hand under the current political conditions, it will find that Pakatan has as good a chance (if not better), of winning compared to a straight fight between Pakatan and Umno.

I Wonder?: A party is just like a tree. There are twigs that are withering and infested branches that need occasional pruning and trimming in order to grow healthier and bloom.

If one were to not take decisive action, very soon the tree will rot and die.

Fairplayer: Wan Azizah, the enemies are both Umno and PAS. No need to skirt around PAS.

Ghostwhowalks: PKR deputy president Azmin Ali says he will camp in Sungai Besar to campaign for Pakatan Harapan, thinking he can convince PAS to abstain and let PKR stand (unilaterally deciding so without Pakatan Harapan's agreement).

Now that PAS insists on standing, and Amanah is set to represent Pakatan, where is Azmin now?

Wan Azizah, wake up, as you still can't see through Azmin – he is not interested unless PKR stands with one of his boys selected.

Don't blame others when the problem lies with PKR's lack of leadership. As in deferring Pakatan Harapan's leadership meeting to decide on candidates two or three times, hoping the enemy, PAS, will yield.

Everyone know PAS and Umno are in cahoots and yet you can't see the trees for the forest. Buck up and start campaigning for Amanah.

I'm sure DAP will campaign hard for Amanah and I am sure the majority of non-Malay votes will go to Amanah. All the best, Amanah. We will be rooting for you to win.

Artchan: I am sure that the PKR leadership have internet connections, and most would be tech-savvy, and I am sure they read comment sections that relate to PKR.

I am flabbergasted that they still think they can work with PAS. How stupid can Wan Azizah and her team be - to believe that there is still hope with PAS.

Ferdtan: The Umno critics say that PM Najib Razak's head will roll if BN fails to win the Sungai Besar by-election.

Likewise, we are saying this; Azmin’s head as Selangor MB will roll if Amanah were to lose the seat in the state controlled by Azmin.

Amanah's win is possible - provided Azmin is sincere enough to help. This is also a test of Azmin's leadership and his integrity to work together with his opposition partners. Let us see how wrong we can be.

The Analyser: Yeah, the enemies are named Rafizi Ramli and Azmin Ali. Poor deluded old dear, can't even see what is going on in front of her face.

In typical Malaysian fashion, she wants to blame everyone else for her own problems. Your enemies are only taking advantage of your own lack of direction.

Grasping at the concept of one-on-one fights is pure cowardice. You are hoping that the personality and the race and the religion of your candidate will be more attractive than the same characteristics in your opponent.

If you had a viable political philosophy and a set of relevant policies, you would be prepared to stand against 40 alternative candidates because you would know you could win.

Jaguh: Confront the problem, Wan Azizah. Start leading PKR with an iron fist.

Harapan unveils Amanah’s Azhar Shukur for Sg Besar by-election

FellowMalaysian: Pakatan Harapan has finally decided to field Amanah’s Azhar Abdul Shukor in Sungai Besar.

Now after being given the chance to prove themselves, we look forward to an honourable battle and a worthy performance by Amanah with strong support from other Pakatan Harapan parties.

Sans Blinkers: Amanah needs to cut its teeth, win or lose. Whatever the outcome, it will help Pakatan Harapan strategise for the coming GE.

Azmin's absence from the event is good as he may say things which may not be helpful to Amanah. It is not healthy to have someone with a foot in each camp.

Shamu99: It’s a good decision to have a three-cornered fight. Let see if PAS or Amanah has more support; it does not matter if BN wins.
