Kedah Menteri Besar Ahmad Bashah Md Hanipah who is being treated at Penang Hospital (HPP), today received a visit from Penang Yang Dipertua Negeri Abdul Rahman Abbas.

Abdul Rahman, who arrived at the hospital’s intensive care unit at 12.20pm, spent about 10 minutes with Ahmad Bashah.

He was accompanied by the menteri besar’s senior private secretary Armishah Siraj and a number of HPP personnel during the visit.

Ahmad Bashah is recovering from intestinal surgery and is expected to be discharged within a week from now.

On Monday, he was transferred to HPP from the Kedah Medical Centre (KMC), Alor Setar as the hospital has more up-to-date equipment to treat him.

Ahmad Bashah was warded at KMC after he felt faint during a meeting of Kedah Barisan Nasional assemblypersons at Grand Alora Hotel, Alor Setar at about 7pm last Saturday.
