The four component parties of the Sarawak BN should sit down together to discuss the fate of its nine still partyless assemblypersons.

State BN secretary-general Dr Stephen Rundi said this was to resolve once and for all which party they should join.

"This will be good for our solidarity, unity, the BN concept of power sharing and more importantly, the state political stability," he told reporters in Kuching today.

The nine are William Mawan (Pakan), Jerip Susil (Mambong), Gerawat Gala (Mulu), Johnical Rayong (Engkilili), Ranum Mina (Opar), Paulus Palu Gumbang (Batu Danau), Rosey Yunus (Bekenu) John Ilus (Bukit Simuja) and Miro Simuh (Serembu).

They were formerly members of the two BN-friendly parties but had to resign from them in order to be nominated as BN direct candidates in last month's state election.

Rundi said Chief Minister Adenan Satem, who is state BN chairperson, had advised for the matter to be resolved within their original parties.

"They have been given ample time to do so but the nine have now wanted to join the Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) which has already 40 seats of its own.

"Their original parties are not happy with their decision and which also will make PBB overwhelming strong," he said, adding that the issue was still dragging on.

He said PBB was not enticing them to go join the state BN's backbone and they could go to any other parties except the PKR or DAP.

"We need to settle this soon. With the election over, we need to focus on serving the rakyat. There is no point in poking each other over it.

"We also need to settle it as two years from now, we will be facing the parliamentary election as well so that we can move forward positively," he added.
