This is as PKR secretary-general Rafizi Ramli plans to reveal more details about Rosmah Mansor's alleged jet misuse.

Meanwhile in Sungai Besar, Defence Minister Hishamuddin Hussein is holding another evening walkabout, while opposition leader Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail continues to campaign for Amanah.

Rafizi: I want to debate Rosmah, not 'handbag-carrier' Rizal

11pm: Amanah operations center, Kuala Kangsar - PKR secretary-general Rafizi Ramli challenges prime minister's wife Rosmah Mansor for a debate on her jet-set globe trotting, after her aide Rizal Mansor was barred from attending his press conference.
 
"I want to tell you that I am not afraid (of him). But, why should I face with an officer whose task is to carry Rosmah's bag," he tells the 500 strong crowd at the #bongkar ceramah,
 
He then suggests that a debate be held between Rosmah and himself on the matter.
 
"(If this cannot be arranged), then at least I should debate with Rosmah's most senior aide - Najib," he says to the laughter of the crowd.
 
Poking fun at Rosmah, Rafizi also says that if he is called to give his statement on his "bomb PM" remark he  will tell the police officer taking his statement that he is going to borrow her hair to hide the entire atomic bomb, and sneak it inside Parliament so he could throw it at Najib.
 
He says if the authority behaves like a clown then he would behave similarly. 
 
Earlier, a replica of the Airbus ACJ 319 used by Rosmah on her Istanbul trip was brought in by party staffers and put on display in front of the ceramah stage.

Umno and PAS 'rebels' campaigns for Amanah in Sg Besar

11pm: Pasir Panjang, Sungai Besar - Two 'rebel' leaders formerly from Umno and PAS shares a stage here to campaign for Parti Amanah Negara's Azhar Abdul Shukur.

Gabungan Ketua Cawangan Malaysia president Kamarul Azman Habibur Rahman told some 100 people here that his members are now fully backing Azhar.

He quips that he oftens speaks in front of "not so smart" Umno members who don't dare to criticise party president Najib Abdul Razak.

Kamarul Azman was sacked from Umno in March but he claims he had appealed the decision, in order to continue correcting the party from within.

Also on the line-up to speak tonight is sacked former PAS vice-president Husam Musa.

The Salor assemblyperson was also sacked from PAS supposedly for his criticisms of party president Abdul Hadi Awang and the PAS Kelantan state government.

Let those you accuse, defend themselves, says Nazri

8PM: Sungai Besar - Tourism and Culture Minister Nazri Aziz hits out at PKR secretary-general Rafizi Ramli for blocking Rizal Mansor, aide for Prime Minister's wife Rosmah Mansor, from attending his press conference in Kuala Kangsar today.

"When you make accusations, let those you accuse, defend themselves.

"(By blocking) that means it is clear that his accusations were not justified. Maybe Rizal has the information (to respond)," says Nazri during a function to launch a 'mobike' application for homestays around the area.

Nazri also says he, as well as his son, had been accused of corruption by the Pandan MP before, which has yet to be proven until now.

Nazri concludes that Rafizi, who the opposition lauds as a champion of democracy and transparency, has failed.

"In his version of democracy only he can talk but no one else can," Nazri claims.

Hisham: I don't take bribes

7.30PM: Tebuk Hj Yusof, Sg Besar - Defence Minister Hishammuddin Hussein tells army veterans in Sungai Besar that he is not corrupt.

"I am not corrupt. I don't take bribes," Hishamuddin says while talking about taking care of the veterans' welfare.

“What I have if I could, I would give to the veterans, God knows. But it takes time."

At the breaking fast do, Hishamuddin also approved a multipurpose tent for the surau in Tebuk Hj Yusof, worth RM50,000.

The allocation was announced by BN candidate Budiman Mohd Zohdi, who was handed a note from Hishamuddin written on the back of an envelope.

Opposition billboard in K Kangsar sabotaged again

5.30pm: Kuala Kangsar - Perak DAP chief Nga Kor Ming says Pakatan Harapan's 'BN corrupt, people suffer' billboard has been sabotaged again.

The billboard which depicts RM4.2 billion scandal and GST, was torn down three hours after it went up in the Kuala Kangsar town centre today.

"DAP is furious and upset that the billboard has been destroyed again," says Nga.

According to images provided by Perak DAP, the party had put one of its banner over the Election Commission's banner about election offences.

DAP's banner was subsequently removed to reveal EC's banner.

However, the other banners installed over billboard stands were not obstructing anything.

Pakatan Harapan challenges Arul Kanda to a debate over 1MDB

5pm: Sungai Besar - Pakatan Harapan today challenges 1MDB president Arul Kanda Kandasamy to a debate ahead of the by-elections on Saturday.

PKR vice-president Nurul Izzah Anwar says that if Arul Kanda can by coincidence appear in Sungai Besar during a campaign trail, he will similarly have to accept their challenge.

"If he has come down to the field (gelanggang), let us fight (marilah kita lawan)," she tells reporters during a press conference today.

Nurul Izzah says Arul Kanda now has the opportunity to debate with the opposition to address the concerns which have been raised throughout the campaign.

Arul Kanda is in Sungai Besar today to give a briefing on 1MDB to civil servants during a National Civics Bureau function.

DAP accuses Rosmah's aide of attempting to disrupt press conference

4.25pm: Kuala Kangsar - Perak DAP chairperson Nga Kor Ming accuses Rizal Mansor (photo) and his gang of attempting to cause chaos at Rafizi Ramli's press conference.

"The aide to Rosmah Mansor and Umno thugs are attempting to crash into and disrupt Rafizi's press conference held at Amanah's office.

"Such thug culture is despicable," he says in a statement.

Rizal is here hoping to attend the event and take notes so that he can prepare the answers to the PKR secretary-general's claims.

Budiman: I'm against speed traps along Sabak Bernam-Tg Karang road

1.30pm: Pasir Panjang, Sg Besar - BN candidate Budiman Mohd Zohdi says he is against the 80 kmph speed limit, and speed traps along the road from Sabak Bernam to Tanjong Karang.

"I get summoned at least four times a month," he says at a talk on national issues with civil servants here.

However he says the road, which is uneven and bumpy, may be improved allowing for faster driving.

Budiman was responding to a question from a teacher, who complained that he always got caught by speed traps when rushing to work.

Three reasons why PAS should drop out, according to Kit Siang

12.30PM: Sungai Besar - DAP supremo Lim Kit Siang proposes that PAS candidate Abdul Rani Osman drops out from the Sungai Besar by-election race.

Lim gives three reasons, the first of which is that PAS can only play spoiler and is unlikely to win the by-election.

"Secondly, with PAS in the third place, the only way to defeat Umno/BN is to unite every opposition vote behind the Amanah/Harapan candidate.

"In these circumstances, a vote for PAS can only be a vote to help Umno/BN to beat Amanah/Harapan and to win the Sungai Besar by-election," he says.

Thirdly, Lim says, Abdul Rani should set an example to PAS leaders as a patriot to rise above party politics in a time where the country needed to be saved from the 1MDB scandal.

Umno, PAS join in prayer led by minister

12.05pm: Madrasah Taman Jasa, Kuala Kangsar - Both Umno and PAS members join in prayer led by Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki.

The minister shares this moment of congregation which cuts across party lines, on his Facebook page.

Asyraf says he is pleased to see the campaign machinery of both parties pray together in such a harmonious atmosphere.

"I have emphasised that we can have different views and party stands, but do not forget the ties between us as Muslims," he writes in his posting.

"It is time to paint new politics with brotherly ties (ukhuwwah) and the importance of Islam transcending other interests," he adds.

Asmuni claims unhappy Umno members voiced support for Amanah

10.50am: Amanah headquarters, Kuala Kangsar - Perak Amanah chief Asmuni Awi claims that the party has received support from several quarters in Umno who are unhappy with both Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak’s leadership as well as the selection of candidate for the Kuala Kangsar by-election.

This, says Asmuni (photo) in a press conference held here today, is a boost for Amanah as these quarters have also promised to translate their support into votes.

“That’s why in the last press conference I said that we are trailing very closely behind Umno.

“Maybe we can show something on Friday if it's necessary, but if I don’t announce it, then it’s a form of strategy on our part,” he says.

Citing former premier Dr Mahathir Mohamad who will be making his second visit here tomorrow, as well as the Citizens’ Declaration movement and Umno rebel group Gabungan Ketua Cawangan Malaysia (GKCM), Asmuni says this is a clear signal to BN and Najib that they are not only rejected by the rakyat but by Umno supporters and members, too.

Asmuni also confirms that Amanah will manage their grouses as well as they can.

“This is so that they will not be going to waste – we will channel them straight to the ballot box,” he says.

PAS ulama denies convening emergency meeting

8am: Sungai Besar - Selangor PAS Ulama wing denies convening an emergency meeting after PAS' Sungai Besar candidate Abdul Rani Osman turned up at Parti Amanah Negara's function yesterday.

"Selangor PAS Ulama strongly rejects slander politics and the spread of information without verification.

"Selangor PAS Ulama will continue to stand with the PAS leadership and machinery to win the Sungai Besar by-election," says the wing's secretary Muhammad Najhan Halim in a statement.

Rani had raised eyebrows when he turned up at the event which was meant to promote Amanah's candidate Azhar Abdul Shukur, which was also attended by Selangor Menteri Besar Azmin Ali.
