SUNGAI BESAR POLLS The action taken by five Sungai Besar Umno members to join PAS this evening has not dampened the party’s spirit as members still have high hopes in Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate Budiman Mohd Zohdi winning the by-election this Saturday.

Umno supreme council member Irmohizam Ibrahim said the matter was evidence of democracy as practiced by the country.

“It is up to them... one thing for certain is their action has not undermined the party’s spirit to see the BN candidate win the Sungai Besar parliamentary seat.

“Most important to me is discipline and it is this matter that guarantees integrity in the BN,” he told reporters after LKIM Iftar dinner with the media in Sungai Besar yesterday.

Yesterday evening five Umno members including former Umno Youth chief of Muara Sungai Limau branch, Rosli Semin announced that they were joining PAS at PAS headquarters in Simpang Lima, Sungai Besar.
