An unemployed worker and a a part-time employee were each sentenced to four days in jail and fined RM250 or 10 days' jail in default by a magistrate's court in Kuala Lumpur today for disorderly conduct in a police station here.

Magistrate Nur A’minahtul Mardiah Md Nor sentenced M. Saravanan, 38, and Muhamad Hasanan Shariff, 28, after they pleaded guilty to behaving in a disorderly manner at the Batu Police Station in Jinjang, Kuala Lumpur, at 7.45pm on June 21.

According to the facts of the case, Saravanan had come to the police station in a flurry and said someone wanted to hurt him.

After that, Hasanan arrived and an argument ensued between them, with them challenging one another.

Deputy public prosecutor Mohamad Fadhly Mohd Zamry prosecuted while Saravanan and Hasanan were not represented.
