There is always a price that one must pay to survive in politics, surmised Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, in relation to former deputy premier Muhyiddin Yassin and ex-Kedah menteri besar Mukhriz Mahathir’s expulsions from Umno.

“In this case, loyalty is the highest price that must be paid.

"We used to be taught to have total loyalty,” he told reporters in Kuala Lumpur today when asked to comment on the duo’s expulsion from Umno.

“And that has been done by the leadership of (Prime Minister) Najib Abdul Razak. Although all kinds of interpretation can be made, priority must be given to uniting the party leadership.”
