'Stark criticism' in 1MDB audit report

Whistleblower site Sarawak Report claimed the 1MDB audit report contained "stark criticism" and "disapproval" from the auditor-general in its third leak of the findings.

Public Accounts Committee (PAC) member Tony Pua urged former committee chief Nur Jazlan Mohamed to advise Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak to declassify the 1MDB audit report.

Meanwhile, Kuala Terengganu MP Raja Kamarul Bahrin Shah Raja Ahmad urges the Council of Rulers to intervene over the secrecy of the auditor-general's findings on 1MDB.

Sarawak Report misled public, Salleh says

Communications and Multimedia Minister Salleh Said Keruak claimed Sarawak Report had misled the public, and said the final report on 1MDB was by the PAC, not the auditor-general.

Inspector-general of police (IGP) Khalid Abu Bakar said police will determine if the leaked audit documents are genuine before taking action under the Official Secrets Act (OSA).

The IGP also said that Taiping MP Nga Kor Ming will be probed for sedition over a controversial Facebook posting allegedly equating 'duit raya' to 'dedak' (animal feed).
