IGP: Nga to be probed for sedition over 'duit raya' caricature

Slumdog: Inspector-general of police Khalid Abu Bakar, how is your investigation progressing into the alleged seditious statements made by the Pahang mufti who said that all those who opposed the implementation of Islamic principles fall under the category of ‘kafir harbi’, that is, non-believers who can be slain for waging war against Islam?

Isn’t his statement a premeditated act to incite people to violence and commit murder against non-Muslims?

Yet you got overexcited and drooled over the possibility of harassing and prosecuting a member of the opposition over an inoffensive cartoon on Facebook that allegedly insulted the Aidilfitri festivities.

Dedak posting fake, attempt to smear DAP, says Nga

Wira: We have been taught the right use of the word ‘dedak’ (animal feed) by Umno sources.

We are now told, like the word ‘celaka’, that ‘dedak’ is henceforth a banned word. May be next is ‘RM2.6 billion’.

The Mask: Really I don’t see any problem with wanting ‘dedak’ instead of money. It’s like asking someone to give me a handphone, etc. instead of an ang pow or green packet during festivals.

The problem is that the word ‘dedak’ has been made synonymous with bribe. Hence the insult. And only the guilty feels insulted. So please grow up and not sweat over small matters.

The Penang state government under DAP/Pakatan has given more aid to Islamic organisations in the state than the previous BN state government.

To them, every word you say is easily twisted to fit their sedition ‘cuan’. So be wise and be watchful how you use your words.

I have no problem with what you post but these people are easily offended for reasons best known to themselves.

Awang Top: DAP was doing so well since the political tsunami of 2008, but it became too arrogant for the people's liking.

I am for DAP's transparency and good governance, but its leaders need to be more humble and careful with the words they used.

The recent remarks on state government-funded Penang Institute by Guan Eng was too harsh and he had to retract it, and good on him to do so.

But the rest of DAP politicians need to learn how to be politically correct yet be truthful and true to their political beliefs.

It is people like Noh Omar who spread unnecessary negativity and for what? Stop playing such dirty politics, especially at a time when there is so much violence perpetrated in the name of religion.

BN is doing a good job of tarnishing its own image with people like this.
