PKR MP defends statement on Hari Raya sermon

PKR's Penampang MP Darell Leiking said his statement on the Selangor Hari Raya Aidilfitri sermon questioned if PKR deputy president Azmin Ali backs the sermon, and did not mention the sultan.

 

 

This is after Selangor Umno chief Noh Omar said PKR should take action against Leiking for going against the sultan, who is the head of Islam in the state.

Ex-AG Gani joins chorus denying 'Dr M's party' list

Former attorney-general Abdul Gani Patail denies that he has agreed to join a new party to be formed by former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad, as per a list circulated online.

 

 

DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng said Pakatan Harapan will meet to discuss the federal opposition's response to the pending formation of the new opposition party.

However, Culture and Tourism Minister Nazri Abdul Aziz said Mahathir, who quit Umno to protest against Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak's alleged corruption, is forced to form a new party because Harapan does not accept him.
