Police have detained eight individuals in connection with the fatal shooting of a female real estate agent at Jalan Hujan Emas 4, Taman OUG in Kuala Lumpur, on July 6.

Inspector-general of police Khalid Abu Bakar confirmed this on Twitter today.

He said the suspects were nabbed yesterday around Kuala Lumpur and in Perak by Bukit Aman's Special Task Force On Organised Crime (Stafoc) and the Kuala Lumpur Criminal Investigation Department.

"Well done, Stafoc and JSJ KL @PDRMsia in resolving the shooting case of a woman and child at OUG, arresting eight people in Kuala Lumpur and Perak, confiscating a pistol yesterday #GoPDRMGo," wrote Khalid.

On July 6 around 2.30pm, a female real estate agent aged 32 died at the scene while her daughter was injured when the vehicle they were in was fired at.
