Negri Sembilan is currently free of cyber or online gambling activities, state police chief Jaafar Mohd Yusof said today.

He said checks carried out since last Tuesday failed to detect any premises conducting illegal gambling activities.

Prior to that, a raid was conducted at a premises during which two people were detained, he told a media conference in Seremban today.

Jaafar said between January and June this year, the police had raided 259 premises which were used as online gambling centres which led to the arrest of 303 people and seizure of 1,636 units of computers.
