Legendary rock group Scorpions will hold a concert in Kuala Lumpur as part of their world tour to mark the 50th anniversary of the band’s formation.
The concert is set to be held on Oct 29.
This was announced on the official Facebook page of the group, which hailed from Germany, recently.
The status read: “Scorpions will be bringing the 2016 World Tour to Malaysia this fall!”
This was also announced in a press release by the organisers, Livescape.
However, according to the statement, the location of the concert has still not been officially announced.
The group Scorpions comprises vocalist Klaus Meine, guitarists Rudolf Schenker and Matthias Jabs, drummer James Kottak and bassist Pawel Maciwoda.
Among their top hits is ‘Wind of Change’ from the album ‘Crazy World’ (1990).
The group last performed in Malaysia in 2004 during their ‘Unbreakable Live in Malaysia’ concert, which attracted nearly 10,000 fans.
Before coming to Malaysia, the Scorpions are scheduled to perform at the Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre on Oct 21.
