"It is just rumours and a provocation by irresponsible quarters," said Terengganu state executive council (exco) member A Latiff Awang.

He said this when asked on speculation that six state exco members would boycott the state legislative assembly sitting tomorrow.

A Latiff, who is state Education, Science, Technology and Transformation Committee chairperson, said he ruled out the possibility of a boycott as all the state exco members are strongly behind the leadership of Menteri Besar Ahmad Razif Abdul Rahman.

"I believe it will not happen because for now, the level of love for Terengganu among BN elected representatives is very high and it is very unlikely for anything unexpected to happen as we remain with the menteri besar.

"It is my hope that tomorrow's state assembly sitting will be smooth and to the state's benefit," he added.

He was met by reporters after the presentation of prizes to winners of the New Terengganu Transformation oratory competition at Wisma Darul Iman at Kuala Terengganu today.

On the "yellow wave" movement, said to be trying to drag the Terengganu Palace in the protest against the state leadership, A Latiff said the matter should be left to the police to investigate.
