DOJ using MO1 to sow seeds of chaos, Umno Youth leader claims

Jaycee: Federal Territories Umno Youth chief Razlan Rafii, there is no chaos here. Taking money from the taxpayers and allegedly spending it on anti-ageing products is wrong. Allegedly distributing the money to a family member to produce a movie is wrong.

United States is not interested in "destroying us". However, we should thank the country for helping Malaysian taxpayers to recover whatever is left of the money and to bring the perpetrators to justice.

What part of this do you not understand? What "chaos" are you talking about?

Vijay47: Nature abhors a vacuum and in the same theme, another physics truth is that in its natural state, sheer stupidity cannot exist to the degree displayed by not one but numerous Umno leaders.

Thus we have the likes of Razlan Rafii holding that the forfeiture claim by the US Department of Justice (DOJ) is an attempt to sow seeds of chaos.

The basic facts are that substantial amounts have been misappropriated from 1MDB, and the record keeping is so suspect that even the latest auditors have disavowed responsibility for their earlier certification.

To lend spice to these developments, we have officials and politicians offering ridiculous and conflicting explanations that can be encountered only in fairy tales. What is simply stupefying is that a foreign agency has uncovered incriminating details about the mother of all thefts and not only are Malaysian authorities refusing cooperation, they are actually denying the loss.

If this is the real level of intelligence, we will need the New Economic Policy (NEP) for another millennium.

Light: Although one would have been aghast, appalled, astounded, amazed, stunned and horrified at the comments one had heard so far that came from people who had been given the trust to lead, one somehow kind of anticipated such and certainly would have found it remarkable if their remarks and comments had been otherwise.

Demi Negara: Yes, Umno leaders are now toeing the line and beginning to follow the SOP (standard operating procedure).

Just in case they have forgotten, here it is, not in any particular order: scream about that this is an insult and challenge to the Malays and Islam; that it is also insulting the Agong; it is trying to bring down a democratically-elected government; and to score points, say that foreign powers are being it, and oh, make sure to include the Chinese, the Christians and the Jews wherever appropriate.

Roar For Truth: Even if we indulge you and pretend we do not know who MO1 (Malaysian Official 1) is, should not Umno Youth be concern to find out who this person is because his alleged criminal acts has caused the country to be divided between the "stupid" (those who don't know who MO1 is) and the clever (who knows from the clues given), and divided between those who wants MO1 to be exposed and charged for his crime and those who feed on his ‘dedak’ (animal feed).

Free and Fair Election: The seed of chaos was sown by MO1 who allegedly stole money from our country and more chaos when MO1 denied it.

The greatest of all chaos is when Umno politicians, the inspector-general of police (IGP), the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), attorney-general (AG) and the rest say there is no crime committed and they don't know who is MO1.

I.AM.Malaysian: 1MDB has triggered multi-countries investigation in the misappropriation of funds and dubious transactions. The Swiss and Singapore authorities were the first couple of countries to take action. The case was widely reported locally and internationally.

If the allegations are unfounded, the Umno Baru-BN government should do something about it.

Why are we still waiting for the government to take The Wall Street Journal to court after more than a year? Why are all the rebuttals by local politicians are without any evidence but purely on their own interpretation of the situation.

SSG: In the 1997-1998 financial crisis, the blame was on the Jews and financier George Soros. Now the blame is on the Americans. Why do you not just take the blame yourselves?

Until you accept it, you cannot correct your mistakes. You will continue to lose the best talents in our country. These will be the talents required for developing the country. Our country's loss will be a foreign country's gain.

Do you not realise it after all these decades?

Wira: If MO1 is not overly greedy and corrupt, why should DOJ bother? Anyway, DOJ is following US anti-money laundering laws.

MO1 should not have laundered the money in the US if he doesn’t not want to attract the attention of and action from DOJ.

Falcon: Gosh, what a waste of taxpayers’ monies educating a bunch of morons and idiots who cannot think rationally, and are aware that the fruits of criminal activity using foreign financial institutions have its repercussions.

Is this perhaps the result of decades of political, racial and religious educational propaganda and indoctrination that they are untouchables? Welcome to the real world.

Headhunter: Razlan Rafii, you are only making a bad situation worse by spinning an unbelievable story.

Like your Umno minister from Sabah said, you have to be an idiot not to know who MO1 is. We all know who he is even if you don't.

Cogito Ergo Sum: Yes, MO1 was designed to confuse, confound, divide, rattle and cause insanity among the ruling, ruled and the rule of law.

In fact, it is a powerful weapon employed by the US to destabilise and bring down an unfriendly, thriving and kleptocratic regime.

We have no fear of such a weapon working on us. We are immune. After all, it's not in Bahasa Malaysia.
