Gua Musang MP Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah is bent on remaining loyal to Umno even if offered to join the new party, Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu).

He said the question of him turning against Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak by joining the new party did not arise.

"I am an Umno member, I don't see any wrong in Umno and if there is any wrong in the party, I will provide suggestions and opinions within the party. I accept everything in the party."

He said this to reporters after opening the Trade and Related Services for Asian Artefacts Exhibition at the Museum of Asian Art, Universiti Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, from today until Aug 14.

Also present was Asian Heritage Museum advisory council chairperson, Tunku Zain Al-'Abidin Ibni Tuanku Mukhriz.

Tengku Razaleigh said the newly formed party would find the going tough as the pact involved opposition parties that were disunited.

Former deputy prime minister Muhyiddin Yassin had on Tuesday submitted the Parti Pribumi registration form at the Registrar of Societies office in Putrajaya. He is the party president and Dr Mahathir Mohamad, its chairperson.
