Wanita Umno vice-chief Azizah Mohd Dun is confident that members of the movement will not turn their backs on the party and join Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu).

She said Wanita Umno members are highly spirited to pursue the party's struggle under the current leadership.

"There is no sign that the Wanita Umno members no longer want to be with the party," she said at a media conference after the simultaneous opening of the Ipoh Timur Umno Wanita, Youth and Puteri delegates meeting in Ipoh today.

Last Tuesday, former deputy prime minister Muhyiddin Yassin submitted an application to register the new party at the Registrar of Societies office in Putrajaya.
