Inspector-general of police Khalid Abu Bakar has refused to entertain allegations made against him by Malaysian Crime Watch Task Force (MyWatch) chairperson R Sri Sanjeevan.

"I don't think I need to answer to a criminal who has been charged in court," Khalid told a press conference in Kuala Lumpur today.

Sanjeevan yesterday alleged that there had been a rise in shooting-related crimes since Khalid became IGP.

He also lodged a Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) report claiming Khalid had used his position to help his brother, Abdullah, start a shooting academy.
