Thanks for not helping, bronze medal cyclist jabs MB

Vijay47: Congratulations, Azizulhasni Awang! It may only be a bronze medal but a bronze at the Olympics is worth a thousand datukships.

Almost anyway we look at your "message", it is impressive and admirable. First, you did not speak about just yourself but also included Fatehah Mustapa, who even though he did not win anything this time, was nevertheless your teammate.

Second, you thanked your coach but did not forget your friend, Rozimi Omar, who years ago recognised the Olympic champion in you.

Third, unlike the many sycophants around, you really spoke your mind about the Terengganu MB, another of those Umno opportunistic chieftains.

You can be sure he will now claim that you misunderstood everything and that he actually is your biggest fan and supporter, as he slithers around to take photos with you.

All the best to you, Azizulhasni. Next time, you will strike gold.

Roger 5201: “The Terengganu government is making special preparations to celebrate his return,” sounds so hollow when the MB was not bothered with Azizulhasni's and Fatehah's year-long request for a training bicycle.

MariKitaUbah: Azizulhasni, we are proud of you. As to the Terengganu MB, it is a shame that he did not extend a helping hand.

Maybe he is too busy politicking and looking for some "donations" for himself. Serve this MB right, now the whole country knows.

Doc: Regarding Azizulhasni's snub of Terengganu MB Ahmad Razif Abdul Rahman, there are two things that come to mind:

1) All this while I was made to understand that Umno and Umno alone takes care of all the needs of the Malays. So, what happen here when Azizulhasni did not get the help he needed from Umno's Terengganu MB?

2) I am confident Ahmad Razif will not feel ashamed or have any remorse for not helping a fellow Terengganu Olympian because I bet he is a graduate from the infamous ‘Institute Muka Tebal Najib’.

Anonymous_1419577444: Azizulhasni, your road bike was rejected possibly because you forgot to include the costs of "technical consultation" and "administration fees".

For instance, if you buy the road bike from the shop for RM50,000, you should submit your funding application for RM5 million. So, it is your fault that it was not approved.

Anon1: Yes, to get one road bike, 10 to 20 warlords must profit from it, including the all-important consultants and state-registered contractor/supplier to source the bike, inflate the price 10 times and then sell to the state government.

Victor Johan: Ahmad Razif has always been busy playing his political game.

He would have surely, and timely too, claim the credit for Terengganu boy Azizulhasni's achievements, but alas, Azizulhasni has put him in his place. Let the truth be told, and boldly.

Legit: Well done to Azizulhasni and Fatehah. You and all the other Malaysian athletes at the Olympics have made the country proud, unlike the MO1 and his cohorts who have blacken Malaysia's name all over the world.

If at all it is any consolation to you, there are other outstanding Malaysian athletes, particularly non-Malays, who have been spurned by this government, which is allegedly busy stealing and robbing the people.

Discovery: While our athletes are making us proud, our leaders are doing just the opposite. Starting with that MO1 who has singlehandedly subject the entire nation to shame, disrepute and ridicule.

The entire nation, while applauding our athletes, should all spit at MO1 wherever he may be.

Anyway, you have many who believed in you, especially your parents, your beloved wife, your coaches and cycling fans not just in Malaysia, but around the world.

You are a world star and there is very little to separate you from the other two winners. Pat yourself for a good job done and forget about people who ignored your request for help.

Puzzled: If only Azizulhasni is a card-carrying Umno member, there will be tonnes of assistance or a promise to carry an Umno flag in Rio (I am being sarcastic here).

Sa Tombs: This MB wanted to give an island for Muslim preacher Zakir Naik. That is all that this MB is interested in.
