Kuala Langat Umno Youth chief Jefrizal Mohd Jaafar has lodged a police report against the sister of former Umno Wanita information chief Hamidah Osman.

Jefrizal took issue over Hamizura Osman's posting of photographs on Facebook, purportedly showing money being handed out for delegates to attend the Kuala Langat Umno delegates' meeting.

Hamizura's profile picture on Facebook also sported the logo of Umno splinter Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia.

Jefrizal said while Hamizura's photograph of a letter asking for teachers to participate in the Kuala Langat Umno delegates' meeting was "partially true", the accompanying photographs of money being handed out was false.

He also lodged a police report against PAS' Sijangkang state assemblyperson Ahmad Yunus Hairi who circulated similar allegation.

"I deny that Kuala Langat Umno recruited outsiders to its delegates' meeting by inviting people onto a bus and giving out money, it is slander," he told Malaysiakini when contacted.

He added that inviting teachers to the delegates' meeting to show them appreciation was a normal practice.

The postings by Hamizura and Ahmad Yunus have since been deleted.

Hamizura in a separate Facebook post clarified the photographs of envelopes being handed out on a bus was a separate incident in Kedah.

"There were people who were confused between the pictures in Kedah and the letter in Kuala Langat, so I retract my posting. I'm sorry," she said.

However, Jefrizal said a mere Facebook apology was insufficient and asked that a proper apology be issued, from both Hamizura and Ahmad Yunus.

"We will give them seven days from today. If there is no apology, we will take the necessary action in court.

"We don't want an apology on Facebook only, we want a real apology," he said.
