5.5-magnitude quake in Indonesia early today

A moderate earthquake measuring 5.5 on the Richter scale occurred in Northern Sumatra, 134km south-east of Padang Sidempuan, Indonesia at 4.04am today.
The Meteorological Department in a statement said the temblor did not pose any threat of a tsunami.
The location was about 426km south-east of Klang, Selangor, it said.
