Sultan Ibrahim returns to Johor after angioplasty procedure
The Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Almarhum Sultan Iskandar, has undergone an angioplasty procedure at the Gleneagles Medical Centre, Singapore on Thursday.
Johor Menteri Besar Mohamed Khaled Nordin said Sultan Ibrahim was referred to the hospital on Sunday after complaining of chest pain while he was exercising.
“His Majesty’s condition at that time was stable and good. He was allowed to return to Johor this morning and is resting at Istana Pasir Pelangi,” he said in a statement in Johor Baru last night.
Sultan Ibrahim had also been advised by specialists to get adequate rest and to avoid taking long-distance trips, he added.
On behalf of the Johor state government, Mohamed Khaled expressed his heartfelt thanks for the care and attention given by the medical team concerned to Sultan Ibrahim.
He also urged all the people of Johor and Malaysia to continue praying for his majesty’s good health.
