YOURSAY | ‘This has been the tried and tested formula in the Umno playbook.’

Razlan lists 'evidence' of DAP's disrespect of Malays

Malaccan: This statement is the clearest sign that Umno Youth, and its parent, is finished and on its last legs.

The level of maturity and intellect in the wing has reached its lowest levels despite the vaunted qualifications of its leader. Despite the imbecilic leaders, or because of it, Khairy Jamaluddin remains the Umno Youth leader.

But it does shine well for DAP, especially for the young Malay leaders in the party, if all Umno Youth can come out is with these moronic reasons.

Try to compare that with how Umno treated the royalty in Malaysia some decades ago, and how they treated them again with the passing of the National Security Council (NSC) Bill. Aren't Umno leaders the ones who keep saying Malays were ignorant, weak and faithless that needed to be propped up by artificial means all the time?

Umno Youth was quiet if not applauding these statements when they were made. Just who is the greatest traitor and backstabber of the race if not Umno itself, and Umno Youth, which is their vocal wing in the vanguard of that act?

P Dev Anand Pillai: It is the usual - when all else fails, blame the DAP and divert the Malay mind. This has been the constant formula in the Umno playbook.

Who are the corrupt officials? Who are the embezzlers of state funds? Who are the religious hypocrites? Does it jog one's memory as to which ethnic group these people emanate from?

So it is normal when the Malays are in a political imbroglio caused by the Malays who they themselves have voted for, they blame the non-Malays. Who else is there to blame in Malaysia other than the DAP?

Let us be practical: it is a Malay government by the Malays, of the Malays and for the Malays; so how come when there is a problem, the non-Malays are suddenly blamed?

OMG!: Indeed, that a mid-range Umno official like Razlan can come out to critique DAP's stance regarding the Malays tells me one thing - that Umno is running scared.

They are worried, terrified that they are losing ground among the Malays who are drifting away and migrating to DAP, among others, as the one multiracial party that can threaten their political dominance.

DAP has 38 MPs to Umno’s 89 - almost half. Faced with the growing push-and-pull factors from DAP and PKR and now, faced with the new party Bersatu; they avoid clashing with PKR-Bersatu, as it is seen to be unseemly (because they are all Malay-based parties), so they bash DAP.

It's no use. Umno's inconsistencies and inner contradictions, the global allegations against its top leader, the mutinies here and there, are signs of a slow implosion, if it continues to evade the glaring truth - that it's riddled with corrupt leaders in denial and that its communalist policies are long overdue for the rubbish dump.

StrainingGnats, SwallowCamels: "He (Federal Territories Umno Youth chief Razlan Rafii) said DAP fields only a handful of non-Chinese candidates in elections because ‘they do not accept ethnicity matters in the country’."

Razlan, your party Umno fields no non-Muslims and all of Umno's candidates are "Malay", either in origin or by conversion. Has Umno got Hindu or Christian Indians, Sikhs, Christian "bumiputera" East Malaysians, (non-Muslim) Chinese or "Others" as members?

By your argument, who does not accept matters of ethnicity now and all these years? Shall Malaysians conclude in similarly shallow and viperous fashion that Umno disrespects all of the other races? Is it not that you yourself has brought the disrespect to yourself?

Right-thinking Malaysians will not conclude that you are a source of disrespect to Malays and Umno politicians. Instead, they will conclude that you have brought disrespect to yourself.

But why are you doing this foolish thing in the first place? What do you hope to gain for yourself?

Anonymous112233: I drink a small glass of red wine at home every day to keep healthy. Does it mean that I do not respect the Malays?

Anonymous #40538199: Slaughtering pigs and sacrificing cows should not be necessarily deemed as disrespecting other races in a multi-ethnic society where freedom of religion is enshrined in the Federal Constitution.

Ib: Malaysian Official 1 (MO1) has swindled the country and taken the rakyat's money. By your logic, you would then conclude that your party disrespects the law and that it condones crimes.

Be a man, sue me, Muhyiddin challenges Najib

CQ Muar: PM Najib Abdul Razak, the ball is now in your court. Your former No 2 man, Muhyiddin Yassin, has daringly challenged you to sue him.

Therefore, remaining silent and not taking up the challenge is a clear sign you're guilty of all those allegations hurled against you.

It’s pure common sense - anyone who accuses you of swindling and cheating the rakyat and enriching yourself should never be tolerated. Your dignity, honour and reputation are at stake.

Fight back, show your wife Rosmah Mansor you're worthy of her pride and love, and that you're man enough to take up Muhyiddin's challenge.

Dont Just Talk: Yes, come on and be a man, Najib. Accept Muhyiddin’s challenge and sue him for calling you a corrupted PM with RM4 billion in your bank account.

If you dare not sue Muhyiddin, who was an elected deputy president of Umno Baru, it means that what he said about you is true.

Ipoh Pp: It beats me how the whole lot of imbecile cabinet members stay on. These duds have forsaken us, the voters, for the 'donation' that they have received.

It’s shameful that they have betrayed the very people who voted them and the oath that they took.

Anonymous 1890491455255851: Our PM kept saying when the truth is revealed, all will be well and those who have been running him down will be shamed, so to speak.

So why is it so hard for the 'truth' to be revealed? What is the 'truth' waiting for?
