Gerakan: Let us be the check and balance in Penang

Mushiro: Gerakan claimed that in its 40 years in Penang, Gerakan brought development to the state with no incidents of abuse of power or corruption.

So, why did the smart people of Penang throw Gerakan completely out of Penang? Did Gerakan president Mah Siew Keong really expect the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to hassle any leaders from BN parties for corruption?

Has MACC done this before? Is Mah aware of the failures of MACC in the 1MDB RM42 billion loss, where not a single soul has been arrested for corruption?

Is Mah aware that the DAP government in Penang has been commended as the best managed state by the auditor-general?

Has Gerakan seen the development in Penang under DAP? Is Mah fully convinced that the corruption cases against Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng and others in DAP Penang, are not Umno ruses? Dream on, Gerakan.

Ex-PJ: Perhaps Gerakan should ask Najib about his billions first.

Liew Lean Kut: The people of Penang gave Gerakan 40 years to rule in Penang, but you people squandered it, and the party was wiped out by the voters of Penang. Now you want to be the check and balance?

What about Selangor? BN members of the state legislative assembly were offered the post to check on the decisions of the PKR government, but your people rejected it. What check and balance are you talking about?

Giving you seats is tantamount to giving BN the chance to rule Penang again, and I don't think Penangites are that stupid.

You are talking about check and balance: what actions did your party take on the 1MDB fiasco where billions of ringgit had been stolen? Not a whimper from you, just total silence.

The fact is Gerakan allows Umno to plunder the country and also ride roughshod over the rakyat, especially regarding race and religion issues.

WTFcuk: If you are able to check and balance, tell us what did you do regarding MO1's RM 2.6 billion? Gerakan is a party to it as the theft was committed by your masters. In this case, the assemblyperson's father might be guilty, but there's no proof that the government is corrupt.

Fairman: MCA president Liow Tiong Lai, you can do whatever you want in Bentong including visiting schools, walking around wet and night markets, and be in close contact with Chinese guilds and associations.

Come elections, it is the individual voter who will decide your fate. You and your party have no backbone, but have remained eerily silent about the United States Department of Justice's report, 1MDB, and the RM2.6 billion stolen by MO1.

You were very enthusiastic about PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang and his private member's Bill, but not when it was clear that MO1 received borrowed money and the people have to bear the debts. Wait for a prominent giant killer to face you in Bentong, in GE14.

You and other BN MPs still have time to rectify this sense of hopelessness. Why don't you ask a BN supreme council meeting to be called, like what happened to discuss the passing of the Kelantan Syariah Criminal enactment last year?

Or are you just interested in the power, position and perks that come along as a minister? As it stands, MCA, Gerakan and MIC are going to lose all 13 parliamentary seats in West Malaysia. Good luck to you.

Aktan: Guess Liow had nothing to say on MO1 or 1MDB. He thinks he is smart to comment on Bersatu. You don't have to worry about Umno's loss of votes in 45 seats.

Sound Mind: Don't be arrogant. Be humble. The decision will be made by the rakyat. Wait for the election results. The next election is going to go down in history, and will be remembered for decades. The rakyat is fed up with all the exaggerations and lies spread by some incompetent political leaders.

MCA is a dead loss come next GE. MCA, MIC and Gerakan have been told numerous times that Umno doesn't need the non-Malay votes to run the country.

Perak Boleh: The next GE will see Bersatu taking away the Malay votes in Chinese-majority areas and MCA will be totally wiped out.

Bob the builder: MCA is irrelevant to the Chinese community as it does not recognise MCA as a party that represents the Chinese.

Kneazle: All top MCA leaders are hiding behind Malay voters yet still want to claim to represent Chinese community. Never had the guts to contest in Chinese-majority areas.

Wira: All MCA leaders above the position of vice-president, must contest in Chinese-majority seats where Chinese form at least 60 percent of the voters. Otherwise, they cannot claim to represent the Chinese.

Bornean: The only way MCA can get seats are from the katak in the opposition.
